Today we have finally moved to to vineyard! It has been close to 6 months since we first came to Portal to look at the vineyard. We fell in love instantly with it! The property includes 37 acres, two ponds, an orchard, a small two story barn style home and 3 acres of fenced vineyard. The whole place has laid fallow for many years and the amount of work to get it productive is huge. The children have been having so much fun exploring the place and giving names to some of the areas around.

Jen and I have been getting up very early in the morning excited to survey our new home. In our minds we have already laid out the future “casita” guest quarters, animal pens, and chilling areas. Although we have no funds at all, we have spared no expense in the planning of the vineyard. One day this will be a working vineyard with guest homes for people to relax, rejuvinate and create.
