This week

Here’s what’s going on at La Buena Vida Farm this week.

We’ll be at the farm stand in front of the  Portal Store and Cafe on Saturday from 10am until noon Arizona time, selling fresh produce, bakery, and more. If you haven’t tried Jerry’s delicious scones, make sure to get there early or pre-order by email or phone.

There is a lot of great produce this time of year including cucumbers, zucchini, onions, garlic, and beautiful melons.

We have also been making pesto and these yummy pies!

Bread for sale at the farm stand

Here are some other things we’ll have at the farm stand on Saturday:

    Farmers,
Thank you so very much for the work you do! You are greatly appreciated on our side of the Valley (East side-Antelope Pass).
The greens and eggs were gone yesterday. We have eaten like Kings all week. Looking forward to replenishing our fridge tomorrow.
    See you then. Joe

Hi Jen, I met you at the fair last year and we talked about heritage animals. I see you were looking for Buckeyes. We have Giant Silver-laced Cochin and Delaware chicks right now, but haven’t been successful with breeding the Buckeyes. We need to build one more large breeding pen for them, but haven’t gotten around to it what with all the babies this spring. Right now, the rooster is in a chicken tractor, and his hen is free-ranging. If you have a place for them, we would be willing to let yu take them and try for yourself.
